bov/bypass valve related question

Last couple days seems like my car wasnt running right, and that my bypass valve wasnt relieving pressure correctly ( stumble slightly after you let go of the gas). Just looking around I seen the little vacumn hose that connects to the valve was half tore right after the nipple ends on the valve. Would this be the cause of it running slightly unusual? I want to get some idea before I take her out myself and find out.

My Ride:
04 STI with ITBs (yes it runs)

Yes. The vacuum line is the actuator to the BOV from the throttle body. When the TB closes, it pulls vac to the BOV causing it to open and keeping your turbo wheel from rapidly decellerating. This is the whoobbble sound that you hear on throttle lifts.

Since yours has a hole in it, that vacuum that it normally sees is just sucking outside air in and not opening your BOV. Don't go on boost if possible until it is fixed.

It was an easy fix, I just cut the vac. line shorter...I just posted here for reassurance, took the car for a ride and feels like the day I got tuned again
