There definitely is a HUGE parking lot by Macungie Park. I remember seeing all the cars at last years meet, but I never saw an aerial shot, so its hard to judge a foot perspective to a google earth image.
Just type Macungie Park into google, check the map and look just north of the point it takes you to. Does it seem like that would cover it or still a no?

Also, on the idea of raising the price to keep out beater drivers, thats not going to work unfortunately. Most beater drivers actually dump a lot of money into those crap cars surprisingly. The whole McDonalds paycheck typically goes into them. Usually just maintenance to keep it running to be beaten on, but still. They have money and most don't have the brain cell to not pay a ridiculous amount.
Not to mention, last year I was flat out broke with no job, had a mostly stock V6 Camaro with some light mods, and still sold stuff off to make money for a VIP spot with the rest of my crew and make a nice donation.
So as much as I wish that idea would work, all its going to do is piss off the people that truly and respectfully go to this event. They come ready to donate money on the event itself, the mini events within, and the products there since it all goes to the charity. You raise the price, its going to get the mind going thinking, "Am I really not putting enough of my money to this event yet?"

It seemed last year, most of the burnouts occurred on the way out when the majority of the group was leaving. Why not ask to have a few police officers help out? Last year I had police help when I got together a whole caravan going to the event.
Have a police officer or 2 standing wherever the burnouts are taking place, and radio to a couple closer to the exit the kind, color, and plate number of the car.
People will start to catch on when a half dozen cars are getting tickets.

And to anyone that thinks they will just "run away" from the cops, I dont know about you, but last year it didnt seem like anyone was going anywhere real fast with how backed up the line was to get out.

Raising the price will do nothing but lower the attendance and hate to say it but the junker cars seem to not mind paying a high price to get in. it will lower the amount of people considering driving their cars that far. Personally keep the price as is the show is good every year no need to change anything but maybe location from last year.

Just a thought but burlington center mall in burlington nj, huge parking lots, most of the stores are closed down so the parking lots are always empty

macungie park could easily hold 2500 cars... and i'm sure they would work with you on price considering it's a charity deal

We're working on this every day, sorting through a ton of locations and determining if they're a good fit or not. The list is definitely whittling down so I hope to have a location secured soon, believe me! I think finding a location is the biggest and most challenging part of all of the event planning so I can't wait to be done with this part and move on to the rest of the planning, ASAP.

I'm not sure how south you'd be willing to move this show but Dover Downs in Dover, DE has hosted plenty of events and has accommodated crowds of upwards of 60-70k for NASCAR races, Firefly Festival, etc... They have held auto cross events in their parking lot as well. If this is something you want to explore, I can help facilitate the negotiations as I have a couple contacts there.

What about Richard Stockton College in Pomona, NJ near Atlantic City? You guys hosted a Street Wars meet there a few years ago. Nice location!

Pick macungie and I'll open my 6 car garage and tools to anyone who happens to have any car trouble that day. I live 15 minutes away.

Has any thought gone into the steel stacks at the sands casino? They have uber uber parking behind the old plant and I'm sure they would love the charity publicity.

I second this. A lot of space and the last street wars show that was held at Stockton was a great time.

Just a thought, and it It might cut into cost and man power, but what about splitting up the event into two places? like a north and south meet? Last year we had to have in our 3 caravans that grouped up over 150-200 cars alone coming from the NEPA area.

It has been very difficult to find a location that will be a good fit for the event, but we are continuing to work toward locking in details. We've had a few options that seemed good but didn't pan out but still have a few more on the table. Due to timing we are aiming for a late spring date at this point but we will decide on whatever is best for the success of the event. Sorry we don't have more info right now but we hope to have something soon!
