I agree with him, every time I hear a turbo spool it's a truck and I see lifted trucks daily. Modded cars are less common.

Car Effex in Mantua sells stuff but I wouldn't go there for any work. They're too pricy. The owner's conceited since they work on exotics often.

I live right down the street from there- I stopped in once and the guy behind the counter (owner) was very stand-offish and seemed more annoyed by my presence. I'd love to support a local business, especially one this close, but I won't be returning.

VAC is an excellent shop and only a 20 minute drive from, say, the Deptford Mall. They did work on my 335xi and I was so pleased with the experience I brought my CTSV in for suspension. Again they did fantastic work!

R/T Tuning in PA is excellent as well. Granted they aren't in South Jersey but sometimes it's worth a short drive to work with a reputable shop.

Like I said, they sell stuff, but I wouldn't go there. The owner is related to a friend of mine. I almost always get my stuff online or from craigslist. That's about it.

I heard about a shop called Krazy House Customs in South Brunswick. I haven't been there yet, but plan on contacting them about a few issues I'm having with my Ford. They have an AWD dyno and have access to the Sniper tuning software that my original installer used.
