2012 Mazda RX-9

There was a short article about this in the latest Winding Road magazine. I did my best to size down the pages while still having readable text. If you don't get Winding Road, it's a free online magazine and I highly suggest it, they also have a feature on the GT-R this month: http://www.windingroad.com

I'm not liking the back so much but who knows how it will look by the time it is ready for production.

That thing looks badass! And a twin turbo would sweeten the deal that much more (wishful thinking).

thank god, heres to hoping they dont call it rx7...

biggest bunch of horse**** i ever read...

"mazda was thinking about making it v6, or even v8.....maybe twin turbod...maybe three rotor.....maybe a 1.8l 2 rotor...."

omg i need a wiper to clear the bull-**** off my computer screen.

in 2011 when they release ....whatever it is...itll be a 1.6l direct injected NON TURBO...two rotor making about 280 hp and 190 ft lbs of torque...redline will prolly be less than the current 9k, think maybe 8k....

theres the reality. and whoever said it shoudl geta turbo three rotor doesnt know what fuel economy, emissions standards, and reality are.....yeah i said it, go ahead and get pissed off, make fun of me and call my car slow....

Mazda needs to retire the "rx" name, none will compare to the 3rd gen 7.

while i agree that no rotary after the FD will compare, the name rx will live on as long as they build rotary sports cars. sorry bud.

they had rx's way before the 7 and they will have rx's way after too....

while the styling of this concept may not be everyones tastes (including me, somewhat) its the new engine and how it runs is what should be aprreciated...1.6l engine producing 280hp (n/a ) and fuel pressure running at 1900 psi is no joke.
