Haha funny story actually, I passed on a minty Alpine one for $15K in 2014 before the market spiked right after I sold my Evo.

Needless to say I'm not letting this one slip away. I cry about that like 2x a week.

The market for these cars is insane because of how much you can make off of them. But it's absolutely destroyed the market for the enthusiast.

Finally a warm day appeared. Had enough time for a quick task I've been wanting to do for a long time- get rid of the airbag wheel.

Replaced the failed camera in my iPhone 6S this morning so I can finally take pictures again.

Got an Mtech wheel off of the parts car I had, and conditioned the leather. Didn't clean up as I had hoped, but it'll do for now.

Bonus shot.

To do:

-5sp swap
-Suspension refresh
-Finish coilovers
-Top end refresh
-Burnouts

It is tall! But unfortunately it's not nearly wide enough for a lift. I think it was originally built for old man camper storage.

I thought I landed a nice house last week (with a lift worthy garage), but they weren't willing to fix some of the glaring issues before settlement so I rescinded the offer.

These came today. One more piece of the puzzle down.

Asbestos and wiring not up to code for starters. Just stuff I didn't want to deal with for the price.

they wouldnt giv you some moneys back to fix it? if they didnt are you sure you werent already gettin a deal?

those are both issues that any house in that year range and price range will have tho

ppl make such a big deal out of things they see on hgtv

Nah, that's why I ended up passing. They were $10K over market as it was. They weren't willing to drop on the price and they weren't willing to credit me anything towards fixing the problems (which surprised me!)

People make a big deal about the things they see on HGTV because of resell. I personally don't care about the insulation but I know it will make a difference when going to sell it in 5 years.

Most buyers in this area are using programs with PMI so multiple inspections are required- and both of the glaring issues with this house would fail a PMI inspection, thus resulting in lowball offers and/or no sale.

Wasn't worth the hassle and potential to take a hit if there are 500 other houses on the market in my area- the search goes on!

The car is officially in PA with my Father! He is very excited about the project, and I will try to continue to update from his end (expect picture quality to decrease).

Before she left:

Back in PA after a quick rinse. Looks like it's going to clean up VERY nice.
