few new bests....

fiance pulled a 12.6@113mph in her stang. 1.9 60'. mods are still the same blower/exhaust/4.10's/stock manifolds/auto. her dad also ran a new best of 11.6@118mph with a 1.5 60'. he has a 88 gt with a blower. i still couldnt keep the front wheel down on the bike and only ran a 11.2@122mph. track prep was the best i have ever seen for atco. anyone else there?

I know it needs headers, but you think it maybe too much blower on stock motor?

now way to much blower on stock motor......she gained well over 100whp 100wtq and it runs like a champ.....only running 8psi. better tires alone will take her low 12's add torque converter and some long tubes mid 11's are easy......she dropped over a second consistantly since the blower.

That 1/8th mile is lil on the slow side. Its hauling arse up top though. Seems like stock motor isn't helping down low.

its called traction as mentioned in almost every other post of mine. plus she runs with traction control on which cuts power and shifts into 2nd. if she doesnt run with traction control on she spins through first and part of second and runs 14's. and 8.2 isnt exactly what i would call on the slow side. its about where it should be for the circumstances.

it takes 60bhp to spin a S-trim. i believe the Novi2000 takes over a 100bhp to spin. the car would go faster with a smaller blower.

thats all fine and dandy but an s-trim will not put out the power this one does so it balances out.......we are building this car a smaller blower would only limit us down the road. the blower has dropped over a second off the times the car has ran and it runs like a champ. i live in the real world on how things feel, not what magazines say. the car feels like a beast and runs great so there is no problem to me ;) if your going to come into my thread and start crap like you did in my other one mods please close it now.

Exactly, the Novi-2000 pushes a lot more air than an s-trim, and it will be able to support just about any level you want to be at.

Do you have any documentation on this? I'm curious because I've never seen anything that stated exactly how much power each blower uses. Altho I have heard the 100hp number thrown around a few times. Thanks.

Not much, just chillin' in VA now Truck is running alright, hit up the local 1/8th mile last week, 7.45@93.88 in street trim on DR's (4160lbs with me in it), running pig rich the whole way, standalone will go in and be tuned over the winter. Hopefully she'll be in the low 11's in the spring with a tune and a fresh set of slicks. I picked up a billet crank and R3 block for my new build, should be pretty nasty once that's done, but that's gonna take some time, going all out so I only have to do it once. I need to put together a journal on here

i guess if you want the bigger blower for down the road thats fine, but lets say both blowers are pushing 8psi. the S-trim can do that without problem. it takes the S 60bhp, while the Novi takes over 100bhp. now at 8psi the novi is only flowing 75cfm more. the less drag allows the S-trim to put down more rwhp. thats why they make so many different blowers. im not going anymore in depth with this. look it up. ive messed around with both and both are great blowers, but i wouldnt put a Novi2000 on my bolt on mustang.
its like putting a monster turbo on your RSX.
