we make jokes when the boss leaves for the day. we need to call over the loud speaker and say funny things.

generic ones such as:
the eagle has left the nest
the package is in the dumpster

or

This phrase was a supposedly common expression in the early 90's announcing a departure. It is in reference to the very sudden drop in sales, and fall from public view, of the Audi 5000 after an obviously fabricated 60 minutes special about the sudden acceleration scare of that period(of which, the Audi 5000 was the targeted car).
