Mazda 3 Speed???

Okay guys and girls I would appreciate some opinions. I currently have a 2003.5 Titanium Gray MSP. I want a Mazdaspeed 3. 268 hp, 2007, warranty, STI slayer, ish loads of fun. My prob. is everybodys prob, money? My trade in value would be somewhere around 10k. I am getting in a few months 13k (from something i wish not to discuss) 10+13= MS3. However this will leave me broke and semi-stressed out. Does this seem like a good idea, just looking for some friendly advice on payment options and such, just need a second opinion. Thank You!!!

brian... im gonna tell you now... i was kinda in that boat... the option of being "car poor" was in my choices... and i KINDA took it... im doing ok... but in ur situation i say keep what youve got for a while... no need to get a MS3... you can always buy used... i mean they only made the r32 vw for one year and they are easy to find.

well yea its a great car ... but ive been working full time since i was 19... i didnt go to college... i went to tech school.... so ive been working for a bit now... hence my ability to afford it.... you gotta think long term... while ur in school you should probably keep the same car... itll keep you stable financially throughout the duration there... then when ur out... you can reward urself with a cool new job and a sweet ass car... cause by then... the car market will be even cooler.

Dont do it because then it will suck having an awsome car and being broke at the same time wait a little longer build up some money, plus ur car now isnt that bad.

Maybe the Ms3 will be in a lil more demand then the msp but i remember when the proteges came out there was a ton of them sitting as leftovers. I think they will sell better then the proteges but who knows. I say bank some more money and be a little more comfortable with buying the car.

Save your money for a while man, that's a car that looks good on paper but don't forget there's more to an STI then the numbers. If you drove your friends then you know how it handles and accelerates and the AWD. (not sure if the the 3 is I know the MS6 is). Just saying that if that's your goal then you could pick up a used STI on Nasioc and still have some money to take tyhe gf out to dinner lol. Or if you're a hardcore Mazda fan wait to pick one up used. Spending everything you have for the car sucks because you won't be able to do anything after you get it (wheels, stereo....) Of course if you do get it post some pics and then go race an sti lol.
