Wheels...
A bump for the guys at Bonehead.
They did the wheels on my '04 STi, and they came out great. I might be back soon with a set for my ZL1. How chrome looking can you get with powder coating these days ? |

Thanks again for the business and glad you liked the wheels we coated for you. As far as the chrome powder, saxon is correct. The chrome powder is more of a shiny silver. It won't have as much reflectivity as the actual chroming process gives you. It is still a nice finish though. Chrome work these days are very expensive so this is a nice alternative. You are welcome to stop in the shop and take a look at the samples of the chrome if you wish.

Understood.
I just feel bad getting lightweight forged wheels and chroming them. Not sure about the durability of the finish, either. Although they wouldn't see any winter salt driving. I certainly will stop in the shop at some point. Is there a picture that you can post of something (preferably a wheel) done with the chrome powder ? Thanks. |
