Removed the rear subframe today, getting ready for a complete overhaul. Ordering the energy suspension master kit, saving up for Powertrix's lovely N/A rear arms kit. Take the diff. cover off and take some measurements. Stitch weld the subframe, powder coat, and throw her back in... eventually!

Ooooh the Ti SPL arms? Nice choice, are you going poly or solid?

Got some more progress made this evening.
Crappy cell pic of my Twinz Type II bumper, just a test fit.

The whiteline bushings are poly, as well as the subframe bushings, I'm not a fan of complete solid, but I am doing a S14/S15 subframe with S14 knuckles to eliminate hicas. It's my fun cruise car, it needs to make the rubber meet the road but not break my back in the process.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of solid either, I like my spine. Nice, you could probably use any non-hicas rear subframe, from a s13-15, R32, or Z32. Pretty sure they're all the same. Non-hicas frames are a little narrower, should help if you want some extra tire.

S14-S15-R33GTS-R34GT all share the same subframe mounts and diff mounts, the S14/S15 non hicas subframe is a direct replacement to eliminate hicas but I need to swap the knuckles too because the my knuckles have a hicas ball joint.

Thanks guys!

OutToWinPAHC, do you have have a good understanding on the different Nissan RWD Diffs? I'm planning on getting a Q45 Diff for a taller final drive. To my understanding, the q45 uses a larger imput and 6-bolt output shafts (instead of the 5-bolt NA)... The same as the twin turbo z's. If I want to use that I'll have to get a TT driveshaft, axles, and rear hubs. Just curious if you have any knowledge on the different setups. Maybe I just need to grab a Q45 rear/axles and see what I can do. I would just swap the gears, but I think the Q45 axles are a bit thicker.

I know a ton about the different verions and combinations. Z32NA and Q45 R200's use the same diameter axles. Is this car a NA or a TT?

Wait I see it is a NA model so R200 with the STRONGER 5 bolt axle setup for the R200. The TT is a 3.689 ratio and that subframe is a direct swap, but I think they are only hicas correct?

The tt/na subframe is a direct swap, but yes the TT's are hicas only. I was reading that the Q45 is a 6 bolt setup like the TT.

When people use a Z32 Na diff in a 240 they use one Q45 axle and one Z32NA axle. It may depend on the year of the Q45. If there was a Q45 R200 with 6 bolt axle flanges you could not use TT axles because they use a different hub size and would not fit. I ran stock S13 axles in a 468ftlb V8 240 with a few diffs and they held up fine. The Z32 NA/Q45 axles are pretty beefy, not as much as the Z32TT but I dont think you need to go down this path unless your running slicks then you just need to see the driveshaft shop

I guess I just have to find Q45 diff. and see what I come up with. I am thinking that I should be fine, for now, with the rear N/A setup if I just swap out gears. Down the road if I need to upgrade I can swap all that. I don't want to get too much wrapped up in the rear when I have a lot of work else where.

I am doing a similar swap on my z31. for the z31 swap i am using a tt diff, one driver side tt axle, one driver side q45 axle. putting everything in an s13 subframe to fit a bigger tire underneath. 800+ whp guys have been cutting 1.3 60fts with stock parts, q45 diff. I scored a whole tt subframe but its a much wider track than my z and i have to weld new subframe hangers in anyways so I am going with a s13 subframe. I am not going to be using the actual tt subframe or the passenger tt driveshaft. I actually have an extra driverside tt shaft as well. it was my understanding that the q45 dif and the tt dif used the same axles.

Awesome, very useful info sir. So, hopefully, I can just get a Q45 diff, check to make sure the tolerances are within spec, swap covers, clean it up and throw it in.

So with that.... in a Z32 you can use the TT hubs and axles with a Q45 diff for a 3.698 ratio

if you grab all that grab the backing plates too, you can sell them as Z32 backing plates (same)
