Pontiac Grand Prix GTP ?'s

Does anyone have any experience with the GTP and its reliability? I found a meticulously maintained (and documented) 2000 GTP for cheap but it has 230k mi on it. I need a cheap beater right now and am highly considering this car but Im not sure about how dependable these engines are? I know my older generation 3.8L NA in my 96 Firebird was great (high mileage also) but everything around it kept taking a crap lol.

I was shocked to learn that some of the 97-04 GTPs were able to be ordered in non S/C... kinda like what GM did with the Cobalt SS pre 08s.

Very retarded of GM.

Your 96 Firebird was a Series II 3800, same gen 3800 as the L67 in GTPs. F-bodies just came with a different upper/lower intake manifold than the fwd n/a 3800s.. And obviously never came supercharged in the states.
