What does a 54 million dollar laptop look like?

I dunno... because it's been lost.

As do I, but not 54 mil.. maybe something in the 100,000 area for her lawyer fees, the product, and compensation for pain/loss and suffering.

The article says no representation. She is doing this on her own.
I know one thing.. the cost of the suit for BB is going to be MUCH more than if they had taken care of her the first time. Of course, it NEVER happens that way. Also, the letter from the Store Manager was flippant and he deserves to be fired. Not sure how he ever got that position.

I hope she is fairly compensated in the end. I can see about 20G on this.. thats about all. That fairly covers everything.

Meanwhile, she should claim this on her home owners or renters.

It says, thousands of dollars in music, personal photos, and her tax information.

....? You don't think she is entitled to some sort of compensation? It says in the article the 54 mil was a joke to get the media attention, like the person who sued for 54 mil over a pair of lost pants. She know she isn't going to get 54 mil.

Incorrect. I did read this completely. My company is VERY much in the business of identity theft and information protection. In fact it is what we do. www.ironmountain.com I read this stuff pretty carefully.

Technically it says time spent not fees charged. I guess that is up for interpritation. My guess is that she worked with general councel for the non profit she works for in order to prepare her for litigation. This is not a personal challenge.. just pointing out that she chose to represent herself against a large company.. Probably due to costs which is what also leads me to believe she has not been charged for advise.

"It shouldn't take a $54 million lawsuit to motivate Best Buy to address these issues," she said. Her initial offer to settle for $2,100 has been withdrawn because her expenses have risen, including time spent filing a police report and consulting with lawyers about her case, she said. "

I think the 54 million is just for attention. If the best buy ends up paying anything, I will be happy. Their service does suck!

that's strange, it may have been the other article I read on it then saying about her fees.. I'll look for it. Lawyer consultations aren't free, though.

the woman that was burnt by the coffee sued because the coffee was well over the recommended temp of what the coffee was supposed to be and suffered severe burns all over her lap and genital region.

People just assume the coffee was of normal coffee temp... it wasn't...

Depends on how close you are with your company's legal team.. ;)

Either way.. no penis growth from some internet conversation triumph.. just speaking from experience..

I truly hope she wins.. and good post.
