i just have a hobart ez-tig 165 amp machine, i set it at around 80 amps and just pedal what i feel is right. i use the standard 2 gauge flow meter that came with my machine and set it at 20-30 cfm depending whether the wind is blowing in my garage. It really just takes practice. I did all thin gauge stainless tube for 2 years when i worked for fabspeed building exhaust systems. what size wire do you use for stainless? the above was welded with .045 308l wire.

its made from stainless. it honestly wasn't bad, just time consuming. i downloaded templates from a instructables post. worst part was cutting them with hand snips

haha yup. if you go back to the first page you can see my first welds. we all start at the some place. i actually bought my home welder with my first 3 paychecks at fabspeed and brought scrap back and forth every weekend, until i eventually got good enough to weld bolt stand offs on tips. Eventually i got better and better and before i knew it i was doing 458 italia headers. crazy right?
