Good shop that will work on a truck?

I know this is a tuner car forum, and as such, most of the vendors work on tuners mostly, but is there any that will take on installing a 2/4" lowering kit on a full size pickup? Or is there any good shops around the Bensalem area that is worth mentioning?

It's usually not too bad of an install, man. If you want to take it on yourself, and I'm free, I'll gladly turn some wrenches with you.

I'd love to do it myself, I just need to find someone with a spring compressor, I'm gonna do new front shocks, almost 100K on the old ones AFAIK. Thing is, I need to have it done same day, and if I run into any snafu's, I'll be ****ed since this is my daily.

You can go to any parts store, and rent a spring compressor (I THINK). And why a 2/4 drop, it will hardly look like you even did anything. I was going to do a 3/4 drop on my Ranger when I had it.

I don't think they make a 3/4 for my truck, plus with a 2/4 it'll level it out. I want to do a 4/6 but then I'd have to C-notch the frame, and I don't want to do that... Now id they made a 3/5 that doesn't require me to cut my frame, that'd be ****ing sweet!

you might be able to just cut your bump stops in half. Your not technically supposed to be able to do a 5/7 on a box s10 but it worked on mine, (had to cut bumpstops)

Here's some news in the situation, I talked to my dad and he's going to give this to me as a Christmas gift!

Unfortunately, he won't settle for me doing it myself, so I have to take it to a shop to get it done...

And 92awdtsi, it's a full size Silverado, not an S10. Although I love the look of a dumped S10.

I already know I'm gonna wanna go lower, but this kit will work for the time being, I just HATE the stock rake it has now...

could make your own kit up 6inch flip rear wth 1inch lift shackels pow 5inch rear, then front i think they make 3inch kit for the front. If not do a 2inch knuckle and 1 inch spring drop.

Looking to have it done within the next 2 weeks. My dad already ordered the kit, but I'll be more than happy with it!

11secdsm, PM on the way!

Also, can I use stock shocks for this? Or do I need to get a set of drop shocks? I'm only going 2 inches lower in the front, and the rears should be fine.

I know when I was going to lower mine, I was going to use stock shocks, but get replacements because I didn't know what condition they were in. But you're truck maybe different.

Id reccomend doing shocks too. Unless they're already new, its not worth doing twice.

My rear shocks only have about 30K on them, if that, my fronts I was gonna do anyway, since they've been hissing at me since I got the truck

I PM'd 11secdsm, but he hasn't replied to me yet...
