If you log into the router, you should be able to see what computers are associated with the access point. From there, you should be able to find the neighbors computer (if you know your roommates computers names), and MAC filter them. Doing this depends on the router, but it would either be MAC filter, or Blacklist.
If you need more help, just shoot me an IM

What kind of a router? If you're using it for DHCP service you can check the client table. You can also put a MAC (media access control, it's a unique identifier for network adapters) address filter.
Also your network is only easy to hack if you're using WEP encryption. Even that is relative, it's not so easy that any one can do it, you have to be fairly computer savy to even attempt it. WPA is much more secure, but you need a good shared key, ie random numbers and letters.

yah go into the router and you can view the table of who is surfing. Also why not just encrypt the router. 128 key encryption will do the trick. Easy enough to do.. Hit me up if you need help

Go into the router and make it only allow the computers that you specfiy to go on. I think its by IP address. I did my router that way and it can only be changed from my main computer and no other wireless routers can log on. Theres no password to remember either.

Issue with that is if you use DHCP the IP address can change. That is why you use MAC filters. |

As far as secuirty goes: I say just use WPA encryption. And use a really long key (at least 20 characters). Windows XP Service Pack 1 allows for WPA encryption, but Service Pack 1 does not. So if you haven't upgraded to SP2, you should. |

if they infact are using your network without permissin ( especially after you said they couldn't ) instead of blocking them, report them to your ISP. if your ISP doesn't take care of it then call the police, it's against the law
