Cecil is a track that is downhill towards the top end. I haven't been to Atco though. Cecil is more of a dangerous track but you will get good times there, close to what Atco will produce. Cecil I would say is just as fast.

Neither track will host official NHRA Supernational events anytime soon, because of a few reasons-
Cecil is downhill, a big No-no in the NHRA world. ATCO can't host NHRA events because there is not enough of a "safety area" at the end of the track, for the cars to slow down. I've heard stories of cars going into, and through the pine trees at the end of the track, One of which was a late 60's prostreet stang named "Evil Ways". The brake lines didn't hold, and bam, end of car. |

cecil is downhill slightly- atco is not. i've heard from numerous people that cecil is faster, IF it is prepped properly. atco is almost always prepped good, i hear cecil is hit or miss.

Yeah and Cecil does have some bumps in the left hand lane towards the end of the track and it definetly isn't the safest place to run with a hardtail dragster.

I really think atco does pretty track prep then cecil as far as vht, but atco also has less crew members, so when something breaks it takes a long time.
I have run both tracks a couple times and my fastest was at cecil

What was the difference in ET and trap speed from Atco to Cecil?

With the crowd that'll be invading that track... a little dirt and missing paint might actually be REQUIRED.
Look for my Q-SHIP plate if you go. I always like to meet new people.
