Another classic 4x4 project on the way...

Its a 1962 International Scout 80 4x4. I spotted it in someone's back yard a few months back and stopped to ask about it. The owner (old man/original owner) told me I could have it for free if I would plow his driveway when it snows. I agreed to the deal, then he didn't want to part with it.

Well, he just called me 20 minutes ago and said the deal is on and I can sign the title and take the truck whenever I want. Sweet!

It looks alot like this one in the link.. same color and everything.

No 406 for this thing! It will get a 5 cylinder 'benz turbo diesel.

Will I be a big dick if I get the '67 GTO ragtop that is in his garage???? It hasnt seen daylight since he bought it for $850 back in '79.

I need a bigger garage NOW! I just need to come up with the funds Actually I would be happy just to sell my Super Duty to free up some driveway space. If this GTO ends up here... the 'mighty' Fiat will be a distant memory and given to anyone that wants it.

Don't get too excited. I don't think I stand a snowball's chance in hell at getting the GTO. After I get the Scout, I will keep driving it over to the old man to show him resto progress while planning a wat to purchase the GTO.

I see myself restoring a Fiat soon.

I can't trust myself in a musclecar. I have proven that fact every time I drive something fast.

Now I just have to wait for the ground to get solid enough to drive it out of his back yard.

In my plowing adventures yesterday, I think I spotted a potential M/B diesel donor car. I'll investigate that one when the snow melts.
