Canon T3I

Is this a good beginners camera? I am tired of point and shoots and picked up one of these. So far I am very happy with it just shooting in auto mode. Still learning how to mess around with settings in manual mode. Just looking from thoughts or feedback on this model

I been also interested in these cameras as well mainly more for video. I heard there wasnt much of a night and day difference between the t2i and t3i
