What do you mean pop the clutch? You mean like a push start? What is the actual problem?

Just bypass the clutch safety switch. Takes 20 minutes to do and is a piece of cake.

If you ever need the car fixed, You can bring it to my garage in Hazleton Pa, 18201. I work on them every day, And always have people dropping their cars off from all over pa/state.

Make sure the starter has power and make sure the switch at the clutch pedal works.

I'd check the starter. My friend's had trouble starting. He took it to Advance and they found the starter was trying to draw twice the amperage it should have. Totally dead.

Did you try to disconnect the clutch safety switch like post #5 said? I have someones car in my garage right now (auto to manual swap), And they had the clutch safety switch wired in and it would not even crank. I d/c the safety switch and it is now better. Complete mess, Replacing the entire engine bay harness now.

Not trying to sound like a d*ck, but perhaps on the clutch pedal? I know the brake switch is on my brake pedal.

Sorry if it came off mean, I didnt mean it to. Im assuming when the clutch is pressed it closes a circuit on that "switch." so in theory (i may be/am probably wrong) you could disconnect the switch and tap the 2 wires together.

Edit: found a video that might help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1STI1Tw8ZI

DONT CUT IT. Just disconnect it to see if it ''fixes'' your problem. DONT start cutting parts of your harness!!!!!
