Why even offer a Classified section if its such an issue ? Public forum anyone can register ? Most of us like using a LOCAL site to sell our cars or items so we can do a face to face deal Pretty much everyone on here is from PA or NJ it beats trying to make a deal with someone only to find out their from clear across the country

If you're only on TST to sell stuff, I'm sure you're aware of websites meant for selling stuff, such as Craigslist. It's not a hard concept to grasp that they are trying to prevent spammers/scammers, etc. from abusing the forum by requiring a 25 post minimum before being able to utilize the FS section.

I wanted to quote this so after I delete it you dont think you're going crazy when you can't find it any more.
There arent that many rules and guidelines, if you can't take the time to read and follow them then there's not much I can do to help.

I personally am glad that TST does this, I moderate on another car forum that has almost these same rules (little stricter) due to scammers and crooks in the past. Honestly, most forums require you to be a contributing member to a forum with 100 posts or 500 posts to have the PRIVILEGE to access a Buy-Sell-Trade type of Sub Forum. I may not have enough posts to see the For Sale Section either but put yourself on the otherside of the fence, scammers are out there more than ever thanks to the economy, the Mod team here are doing this for not only their protection but yours as well. Good Job TST and keep up the good work.

Just a reminder that we are working on a better solution here, but putting it into action is easier said than done. Please do not post whore to get your post count up, it will only lead to you getting yourself banned. We recognize the current situation is not ideal and it is at the top of the list of the many new things we're working on right now, thanks for your patience...

Maybe I'm a complete noob and I am doing something wrong, but I can't post a new thread anywhere... The link addresses are directing me to each individual forum (ex: instead of starting a new topic in the "Member Journals" section, the New Thread button brings me to the first page of the "Member Journals" section...). The thing is, though, it's happening in every forum.
Possibly a related issue? I know I have under 25 posts.
