But on the Holyfield, 16x9 +0 sportmax 501's I think. They are like $300 and will transform the car.

16X8+0s....even with those hed need tons of camber. Around -3.5 if i recall. I dont see fitting a 16X9 -0 without flares..Do they even make 501s in 16X9?

Thank you for the positive comments everyone.

Picked up the resident Mazda mechanic, Frank / Nopistons and he learned me on how to replace the master clutch cylinder among other things. Car shifts much smoother. Going to bleed the lines more sometime.

Dirty ugly bay, uuggggh.

Skanky old fluid. You could actually see thick black sludge near the bottom. It was quite tasty though.

Already up to no good, ripping **** out.

We tried to fit my friend's 16x8 XXR 001 0 offset on my car for ****s and giggles...put them on the back and didnt even lower the car, they sat about an inch and some out, it would need a lot of camber and/or cut fenders and flares to be right. A popular 9 wide wheel for Miatas is a 15x9 6UL which is +33 offset and comes out really nice, sits flush with the fenders basically and the great part about them is they are 15s so you can slap on 275/35 tires all around and with minimal work in alignment adjustment and fender rolling, ride around like billy badass.

Personal opinion is to get better tires rather than wide tires. Not to turn this into a CN thread, but the way my car sits with my suspension on 205 wide eagle f1s, I can carry some decent speed through corners and still chuck the car around and break it loose if I want to, you lose the "fun factor" with wide tires cause the car just grips and grips and grips.

When/if spock decides to up the power, a wider tire will be a good idea just to keep things under control.

Cliff notes: 16x9 on that Miata = overkill and not easy to fit.

LOL, I didn't give anyone a ride...I let a friend take it out...then he wanted to take it out again cause of how "FUN" it was...then told me if I sell it, to call him right away haha

I'll be stopping by tomorrow to meet up with Spock and take a look at the car, never really saw it up close and personal cause the prior owner and I never got along.
