I completely believe this story.

But it has more to do with the fact that I can beat an 02 Mustang around the twisties on a tricycle over the claim of an NA Scion being fast.

Cars can be built to be fast NA. Just usually also requires weight reduction. I am just curious what the engine build comprises of.

I know, but the Scions are not big with aftermarket NA support. They're really a must boost type of engine, boss has one at work and I keep telling him to stop bolting pipes on it and to bolt a turbo on it already.

Yea they are nothing to worry about until boosted I know with intake, exhaust, and header they are lucky to hit 170 whp and that is in a 3000 lbs car

I am doing the same thing with my H22... I just don't want to go turbo cause of the maintence. It would be a beast tho.

I left off after the first turn cause I know my road and I'm not going to try and chase you down there. I also started a good ways behind you, by the time I was over the bump you were already going into the first turn.

But what all is done to your car?

This kid I work with, Jay, said it was probably his friends car and he described everything about it that I could remember. He also said it has a turbo, and his friend drives like a nut...which this guy was doing. Do you know Jay, he has the Yaris with the stickers.

If you've never been on Ivy Mills, here's some of the turns. The first one is right after the bump, that's where I stopped cause I wasn't going to attempt those next two.

Your TC only weighs 2200 lbs? How did you strip the other 700 lbs out of it? That is some serious weight reduction.

lol @ drifting header on a scion

i only have 2 cents for this thread. backroads are where a drivers abilities shine. even with an underdog car, a good driver will work wonders

Sorry, but no. It doesn't weigh 2200 lbs without a one piece fiberglass front end and tubed out. My hatch doesn't even weigh that.

Also, it doesn't make 180whp, not with those mods.

Wait for it, wait for it.

Yeah...and 'overconfident' drivers, such as the scion driver will get scrapped off the tree closest to the road.... You're crazy driving all out like that on that particular road. A statistic in the making....
