That was pretty damn funny. But I dont understand why everyone always says its so expensive to rebuild a rotary, probably the same if not cheaper than a piston engine.

well let me see if this helps any.. my b18b build cost me about 1600 including machine work my first rx7 13b cost me $4721.86 (a number i will never forget!) so yes it is cheaper to build a piston motor then 13b but back to the video let not get this topic too off topic

I don't think they mean the cost of the rebuild, but how often. But then again, I hear some shops do it right, and the engine lasts unusually long.

DAMN!!! 4700? A reman direct from mazda is $2700!

Everytime I broke something on my motor it was allways craking the apex seals or loosing the corner seals. Usually one of the rotors and one of the housings was still good every time. Made things cheaper.

nah man mine was bad. i replaced both rotors both housings and plates. so i figured why not have everything new. got a new shaft as well then the build the seals alone cost me 1000. then the tuning new clutch. then got it home installed it. towed it back for the final tune and then lasted 21k. after that some buddy's of mine rebuilt it again with me there and it cost me about 1700 bucks to rebuild it lasted about another 23k and then i was done with it. but that was my personal choice nothing wrong with the 13b i just got tired of spending the money on it!

As for the spelling yes i know it is bad but still funny!
