my step-dad....not the brightest

Ok, long story short. My parents are low on money due to my step-dad writing books and not working a salaried job (he's a lawyer, money shouldn't be an issue)

So, instead of getting a job, he's selling the 4Runner we have. That leaves us with 2 working cars, my SRT-4, and the Rav4. And the Omni, sitting in the street.

2 Parents, Me. Those are the drivers...2 working cars..problem...yes.

Solution...you better ****ing believe there is! In return for the use of the Omni when he needs it...he's going to have it fixed...that's right. I don't have to wait to get it fixed. To save up the money to have it done... So...I get the GLH fixed..for free, in return, he uses it when he needs it.

His lazyness pays off...for me. Hopefully he'll go work instead of trying to sell his books he is self publishing (hence the money issues)

Not yet anyway. At least now I'll have it as a reliable second car while I save up/build the engine

I know this is not the topic of the thread - but your father's passion for low/no paying work should fall second to the welfare of his family.

no ****

He has a book coming out that was written by him. A "remastered" classic horror storys book. Really well done. The other is from another author, forget his name, about cannibals.

He has 3 or so Martial Art books out, student log book, sparring, and another one.

He also has a large Encyclopedia about Vampires which is pretty cool.

The problem is...no marketing. And he's not a people person, so he doesn't work on selling the books.

GLH

Goes
Like
Hell

That was the very first car I ever worked on. I got a standard screw driver set for christmas when I was 10 and wanted to use it so bad my dad said "Go tear into that old terd"

You better believe that my ass was outside ripping apart the GLH all winter. My dad killed that car putting brake fluid in the power steering lines. Im the only car person in the entire family of Brooklyn Jews
