As much as the media is to blame for the lack of war coverage so is the majority of the U.S. population. They feed into this celebrity gossip crap and they become more worried about if Britney is going to get her kids back, and that's all they care about.

I feel the same way.

I don't have much free time to watch the news every day but the little time I do have I usually end up turning on the TV only to see what happened to Britney or some other stupid celebrity. And then you just hear some random short segment on the war.

I was surprised to here someone and Montel of all people to stand up and make a valid point, even if it isn't what his boss's or the network want him to say. I hardly watch TV or the news anymore simply because newscasters are all puppets.

I think to myself sometimes, when I look back years from now on this war what am I gonna remember? Theres a war going on and I feel like most of us don't pay too much attention to it.

its especially disturbing to me because of the number of friends I have int he military and the majority of them have been overseas. the sheer lack of respect the media has for fallen and injured soldiers is just beyond belief. I know its not necessarily the reporters and such themselves, but the heads of production telling them what to cover. its disgusting, and a huge reason why I rarely watch the news. I cant stand to listen to these ****s babble on and on about **** that is pointless.
