RX-8 Options, What to Look For?

Soo, in my quest for a new autocross car, I'm strongly considering setting up an RX-8 for STX Competiton since being moved there for this season. It should prove to be a really strong car for the class.

In searching around and reading on Wiki, there doesn't seem to be very much option wise for the car. I'm guessing I'd want to look for the 6 Speed Manual version, as it has the highest power engine. I didn't find any mention if certain models have LSD, sunroof or not, that kind of stuff.

Can someone shed some light for me what to look for when I go to look at some of these cars? Anything special I should pay attention to, that kind of thing?

Thanks!!!

From my friends who autox, id say get a mid 90s miata and use that as your base platform and work from there.

Really light, turn on a dime, and doesnt cost too much to make enough mid-high end power for low gear high rpm auto x driving.

just my .02

i love how all you guys actually care about the opinion of a girl when it comes to your car. if the bitch is complaining about it, rev it up and shift hard, throw her back in her seat. if she persists, just drive faster till shes scared. she'll respect it once shes afraid of it
