Tyler's Typical MK4 VW

After deciding it was time to get out of the Honda Game I sold my EK hatch. I was on the search for a clean Jetta, stock as possible. I was searching for about two weeks until I found this 2004 VW Jetta Wagon 1.8t fully loaded. I test drove it and car ran 100% perfect it felt amazing compared to my ek hatch I had. So a week later the car was in my hands!

Pictures from the craiglist add.

The only damage on the car. Door Molding, I am still trying to find a website that sells the molding.

And here is the only picture I have took so far.

I've only owned it for one day so far and I must say I love it. First time ever owning a turbo car its pretty fun. I get better gas miles then I did with the honda.

Plans:

-Performance I plan on going APR Stage 2 and I will be happy there. APR Downpipe, APR intake, Catback exhaust, FMIC, R1 Diverter Valve, APR compressor inlet hose, APR Throttle Body Hose

That will put me at stage 2 and Ill be happy there.

- I am looking to find a good set of coilovers , and wheels I am unsure about yet. I have a lot of plans for this car and I will keep you guys posted!

Congrats. Definitely will make more power than the EK. It's amazing how much I have to mash mine to get even close to the granny acceleration of the turbo car.

Good luck with it. Still with Peruzzi?

I would love one of those for a daily driver. Mind if I ask what you paid for it?

Also, I'd just like to commend you on actually making a good decision... Its a solid upgrade.

Please dont let me see this thing with stretched tires scraping its oil pan down RT13.

Yeah I do plan on lowering, I am not sure if I want to tint it yet, If I do tint it I will do 30%. I haven't seen euro tails for the wagon yet. I may do gli lip but I am going to see how the stock lip would look being paint matched to the car. I am not doing bbs's they are played out in my eyes. New head lights for sure!

So I'm slowly getting my things for my bag set up. A buddy of mine has a five gallon polished tank I'm going to get off of him. Then I am going to Ordered airlift xl fronts and then ordered firestone rear bags with aac brackets.

FKs are awful, one half-step above Race lands, and you'll really be bouncing with the extra weight of the wagon. Just save for the bags.

So I was getting ready to get my coilovers and the car started to idle very rough. Buddy hooked his computer up to my car and it came up as a misfire on cylinder #2. I am going to replace the Coil Packs with 2.0t coil packs, remove the PCV Valve and get a catch Can. And going to get new plugs and wires

I'd suggest gettin the correct 1.8T coils instead of the 2.0TSI/FSI coils and a set of plugs while you're in there.

Your first "mods" should be timing belt, water pump, coolant flush, air filter, cabin air, brake fluid flush, trans fluid, spark plugs, coils(saw you did this). And when it warms up clay bar, compound, wax. Forget the "performance" parts for now, your car will thank you for it.
