edit: talked to spock last night, he made 242/207 on a dyno he said probably reads high. The numbers do seem a little high for the size turbo he has but it's not completely off. He's also got a stock 1.8L

Yea its a good time now. There were some complications with the build, it dragged out to about 2 years total. Sounds like you've blown more motors than me in that time haha

Of course without a driver it means nothing, but cool to see where my money has gotten me vs the costs of other cars and their respective performance on paper. After consulting professor google again, I found most of the cars in this power range run a low 12 or high 11 second quarter mile. I'm happy with that, and will try for 11s at Atco next year!

Drove it again Monday and then put it away. I don't think its gonna be warm enough again anytime soon. Meanwhile I'm working on a list of things to do in the spring

Intake manifold and or throttle body
Boost by gear
Remount radiator fan
Windage trays for belly of car
Interior
-----steering wheel
-----seat (single)
-----styling changes?
Exterior
-----possible front splitter
-----difflow Exige diffuser but need to cut big piece of rear bumper out

This won't all happen at once but I'll be buying stuff over winter for spring once they are on sale or group buys

Got a Skunk 2 throttle body. Its a little larger, but more importantly a lot stronger. Some guys report throttle body shafts breaking, screws backing out and being ingested into the motor, or breaking and getting stuck WOT at high RPM or higher power due to increased vibrations.



When ingested


Will need to port the intake manifold a little to make the most of the power gains. Trying to find a JDM Squaretop intake manifold which has a larger plenum and runners, but no luck so far. Found one for $350, needs a $30 gasket and more work because they started shaving it. If I could find a good stock Squaretop for around 350 I'd get it. JDM on left, USDM on right



Maybe put 50 miles on the car in the last few months. Kind of sad, but banking those miles for the summer isn't bad.

I wouldnt be advertising about that speedo disconnect switch since you know its like....fraud. the likely hood of you being caught is slim, but if it happened it would not be fun.

Thanks man, will give it a try.

Nothing exciting. Going to do the first long-term oil change, been almost 2k miles already. Plan on capturing some for a blackstone analysis. Hoping not to find anything stuck to the plug.

Booking one more hour on the dyno with tuner to get some things tweaked sometime soon as well.

Thinking about deleting AC since I only drive it on select days anymore. However, still debating whether the weight savings (small) is worth all of the work. The passanger's seat apparently weighs more than the AC and PS system combined and that's a 4 bolt removal and easy re-install. Trying to shed a little more weight though, so I gutted the trunk and spare, saving me 32lbs.

There are lots of weight savers I added along the way without realizing like the new exhaust, flywheel, smaller stereo and removal of windblocker and speakers, wheels and tires, a few little things. There's other areas where I added weight like the 45-50lb rollbar, a little on the bigger driveshaft, etc.

Where's a local place I can weigh my car?
