Colorado Avalanche re-acquire Forsberg

Good job Flyers.. missing out on re-signing Forsberg. They could have really used him now, with all the injuries we have. -sigh-

yeah, cause he did a stellar job last year...

Flyers got rid of him, they're not going to sign him back.

I'm stoked, I get to go see them play on the 18th next month!

when did we have Forsberg at 80%? For supposedly the best player in NHL when we got him he really didn't do a whole lot... now, I will agree he's a good passer and he did have a decent amount of assists...

I still think we got him well past his prime and do not want him back in philly.

This season was going well up until the slue of loses... we still have time. Besides, they're doing a **** ton better than last season. Hopefully next will only be even greater

It's just aggravating to see another Philly team out-bid. Forsberg's first year here, he was great.. and he played amazingly in the playoffs.. scored two hat tricks! Then his foot went bad.. but eh.. I'd of loved to see him back here, helping out the offense.

And all of these close loss games are driving me nuts. We had the #1 output offense before all of these losses... we were scoring average 5.5 goals a game!!!!!!!!!!

You don't know if they were out-bid or if he simply didn't want to go here, and I'm hearing conflicting reports.

the flyers kicked him out for being injured during the worst season in their history... i'd be surprised if he wanted to come back, just as i'd be surprised if the flyers were bidding on him

Well they were bidding, especially since Holmgren went to Sweden at least once to see him.

ah screw this 10 game slump, that's what did them in with Forsberg most likely. The front office doesn't want to shell out money now.

I was watching Versus and they said, why shell the money out when Gagne isn't coming back? I think they should just rebuild there organization... they should try to be more like the devils ;)

Well, putting Gagne on IR for the rest of the season clears up 6 million off the cap, that CAN be used before the trade deadline tomorrow. so, they can essentially pick up a Marian Hossa or another key player, and then work it out over the off-season. Regardless, Gagne will be a Flyer for years to come.. he definitely just needs to sit out the season and let his head clear up, so he doesn't end up like Eric Lindros and Kieth Primeau.

The team has been rebuilt, where have you been.. they are stacked with talent, just bad luck at the moment. They are losing close games to good teams.. not being blown out. Slumps are slumps, it happens to the best of teams.

i have a feeling that gagne may be just about done, or at best he'll never be the same....i think they should make a move for campbell from buffalo......and send nittymaki and carter to tampa for st louis, i know theres more talk of tampa letting richards or prospal go...but they need a goalie, marleau and cheechoo are on the block as well and could work here as long as they dont need to deal much of theyre future away....i dont even like the flyers, but it makes sense

That was a nice win, one moment it's 3-0 then they battled back all the way to the shoot out, nice win.

Nitty > Biron. Believe it or not, I was actually athletic at one point (well two points lol), and I was a goalie. Pure talent, he's better than Biron. What Biron had was experience and confidence.

I'd hold onto Nitty and think about Carter...we have Downie in the wings. But Richards' injury really ties that up.

LOL as I read reading that, they just announced on Versus that Prospal was sent to the Flyers for a draft pick and Alexander Picard!!!!!!!!!! WOO!

niity and carter arent going anywhere, and tampa will NOT let go of st. louis.. no WAY. Gagne's not done.. don't worry.
