The next big step for me..update...she said YES..pics up

I am going to be proposing to my GF of almost 3 years next week. I picked up the ring on Friday. We are going to Jamaica for a week leaving Sunday. There is a waterfall that she wants to see out there (Dunns River Falls), that you go on a tour and walk through it and around it and all. And this is something she has wanted to do since she went to Jamaica years ago with her parents and she didn't have the right shoes to go on the tour. Anyways I am going to make friends with a tour guide and let him know the deal. I am going to ask him to take pics of us a few times. And when I am good and ready I will have him take a pic and then propose to her and have that pic taken as well. Sounds like a plan for me. She wont be suspecting it cause I told her I can't buy her a ring anytime soon, and she wouldn't expect it infront of a lot of people either, and I will look like the man to others that see this take place

Wish me luck guys and girls. I know that she will say yes. But I have already started to tell her friends and family that if she says no, I will be leaving her there. Coming home. Selling the ring and turboing my galant

I'm all about fooling. I had the girlfriend thinking I got her a giftcard for her birthday and I had gotten her a necklace that she had mentioned to me once Caught her with the element of surprise.

yeah I am the same way. Well right now I got my GF thinking that it wont happen anytime soon. And I have told a bunch of her friends already and I have been given permission by them to aggravate her for as long as I can. I took her about a month ago to look at rings to get an idea of what she likes. And I told her that I wont be able to get one in the near future. Last week I told her that I heard my sister is getting proposed to after christmas and I dont want to steal her thunder. So my GF is like okay so it wont be in the next month then. And I said nope it wont be for like 2 years, cause I have to wait for my sister to get married as well. Yeah my GF wasn't happy with me after that

You should consider buying a real cheap ring to propose to her with. Usually jewelers will make replicas with all real cheap stones and what not for events just like this.

Good luck! That sounds like a great place for it.

Good luck man! Just don't get nervous and drop the ring in the river!

I would second that suggestion. Travelling to Jamaica and hiking up a waterfall sounds like a good chance that something may get lost or stolen. It would be better if it was a cheapy repli-ring than the real deal. Just keep the real one in a safe place at home and give it to her when you get back.

While my fiancée's ring is beautiful, I can't help but think she's wearing a PPG dogbox on her finger

Awesome man! That repli-ring is a great idea though! it would be a real bummer to watch your turbo...er ring go over the falls!
