A question about the european market

I know very little about the european market and what manufacturers you mod your cars with. What are the top parts companies you look for and are there any not sold in the states that you guys hold as hard to find parts like we subaru people do with JDM stuff????

I am fairly new to the euro market as well. Try poking around forums and visit some shops websites. I tend to go with shops that tune Audi's and Porsches because if their parts are good enough for those cars they are good enough for my VW. If you have a free day take the pa turnpike to the willow grove exit and visit AWE Tuning in person. Top notch shop. Thier show room car is a 600hp 996 using in house developed parts.

AWE is great, I have talked to them a few times. I hope to have them put an exhaust an a chip on my car this summer, saving up $. I saw a blue turbo S4 they did and all I can say is wow. It blew past my cousin and I one day and we stoped to talk to him, after that I knew I wanted them to work on my car!

I know a few months back the sales man at the audi dealer told me they were working on putting a turbo on the 4.2v8 in the s4 body, but had problems fitting everything under the hood. I know there is not alot of room at all, but I forgot about the RS6. I don't think the RS6 in that much bigger under the hood, so I can't see how they can't fit one in the S4 body.

I heard they had to work pretty hard to stuff the 4.2 into the A4 body, modifying the firewall and stuff. Since the A6 is bigger, I think it is easier to work with.

the A6 Shell is much bigger that the A4 shell. There really is no room around the 4.2 in a B6 S4. It will be done, but its going to take a lot of reorganization.

APR and GIAC are reputable.

check out http://1.8t.org/tuners/
Fairly active site that started w/ dealer reviews.

There is also a company whos name escapes me at this moment
that had several serious turbo 5cyl national/world level track cars.
euro...something or rather. I remember their out of upstate NY.

Also, if you somehow figure out how to get a Rallye Golf here I'll buy one

^for clarification.

Does the EDM market get specific stuff that we don't get in the states?
I know for Asian makes there is all kinds of stuff you get imported or ebayed. Is there stuff like that that is Euro only?
Lets say for MK IV Jetta...?

Yeah Mike.
For example:

Jetta VR6 4Motion
the VW Lupo

Most of my favorite stuff in the VAG scene is stuffing 1.8t's into MKII Golfs and GTI's. People have even managed the 6speed in one.

VR6's in older cars is pretty common. VR6 Cabrio's are true sleepers.

Actually I meant more along the lines of EDM specific performance parts.
Like for Subaru's there is Spec C stuff, Nissan has Silvia conversions and redtop SR20's...that kind of stuff.

I know the Hyundai Tiburon is the Tuscani in the rest of the world, and they love to rebadge every chance they get. But the car is the same.

I guess to clarify: are there any EDM specific body/performance parts, not model lines or just badging.

RS4 Fenders, are hawt.
BMW Engines and Tranny's... atleast they used to have hi-po versions over there.

Mostly older Audi stuff... S2 engines and trannys. (Porshe 5cyl, awd wagon, 300hp)
