Not gonna happen. What will a petition change?

Isnt there a certain age the cars get to and they are void from any emissions laws?

Yeah, the petition isn't for just skylines. That's just an attention grabbing title. The age cars have to be to be exempt is 25 years. The petition aims to change that to 15 years.

we can't even make gay marriage legal by signing petitions.

also, whitehouse.gov petitions are ****ing pointless. nothing comes of them... just another magic trick to get fools thinking they've got a voice in this "democracy"

and who the **** said 25k votes is going to get the gov to change the law? not only can the petition be gamed, 25k is not the majority of the citizens.

i can't believe anyone still believes that "signing" and electronic petition does anything... we've seen this crap for at least a decade.

Well a petition changed the mind of bank of america when they wanted to charge people 5 dollars a month to use their debit cards. One also stopped netflix from charging more for dvd movies and movies on demand. Some petitions help and some are worthless like these whitehouse ones.

Actually it was their decrease in sales and canceled subscriptions caused Netflix from charging more for movies on demand.

Yep, this indeed looks awfully similar to this thread:

Last time I had checked, just before the deadline they only had around 11k signatures....

Dont get me wrong it would be cool if this passed (which it wont). But how about we worry about more important things? (I.E. Lower gas prices, Unemployment, Gay Marriage) Things that will protect us, or make our lives easier.

Yes, this was tried before and because there wasn't enough sigs it's being tried again. I think that was fairly easy to conclude.

If you don't think signing this petition with do anything don't sign, move on, and and stop whining about how petitions do nothing and your going to prove it by not signing..

Signed, again, and will keep signing.

Not to "come at you" or anything like that, but why dont you show us how we can fix these things? He is obviously interested in this and this is the angle/avenue he wants to take. He's not just "worrying" about it.

And those who say this didnt work before it wont now is one of the dumbest concepts I've ever heard.

So ugh, your complaining about the people complaining that this doesn't work, and telling them to stop complaining?
