Budriss Motorsports SRT-4 Race car *12/01/07 tons of new pics*
we bough it with with stop tech big brakes kit, 6-point roll cage and forged line wheels (spec race whel). The vid below will explain much more about the car here is a vid of the car being delivered and of us stripping the car http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPl1gM580FI The first boost stage will be set to 10psi, we are wiring the second stage to a button hidden on the back of the steering wheel. The second stage will be set to 20psi, this will on only hold the boost for as long as you hold the button (because we are using a push buttong instead of a switch), kinda like a push to pass button shhh dont tell anyone. Here is part two of the build up. this vid includes custom 3inch side exit exhaust, wastegate and boost controller. The video of the car being tuned will be up this weekend http://videos.streetfire.net/video/5...8900f04cfc.htm we got he seat mounted and lightend the doors up. the doors are very light now but my dads CF door are still lighter well today i made my own eyelinds because i dont feel like waiting/paying for them. first i traced the general shape from someone who had them, the transfered that onto the head light using duct tape. I made sure to over lap each peice so when pulled it up all the peices stayed together. after peeling it up i placed it on a peice of paper and cut it out. then i ran to the store and picked up some cheap vinyl, and then traced the template onto the vinyl and cut it out as well. This is how they look and a befor shot for referance yes i know the arent perfectly flat because i had cut it to make it flate. but for ten mins of work i think they look good. made my own block off plate, where the stock bypass valve used to go. and then welded the greddy Type-S BOV flange to the intercooller pipeing. we will be getting the hard pipe kit though we then made a custom cold air intake and installed solid motor mounts and trans mount The fuel cell came today, its a 17 gallon tank with a fram racing fuel filter and a bosch 330 lph fuel pump, oh and a fuel lab fuel pressure regulator pulled the stock gas tank out i used the ful pump to drain most of the fuel. I just disconnected the fuel line and ran it to the container and we completely removed all the AC and ducting from the car today we wired up the kill switch and the fire supression switch on a very cool cover plate and also got he fuel cell mounted up and ready for all the line to be run. tonight we finished the side mirrors and here is what they look like Made some lexan rear window replacements, I have to give my dad credit for this one. He measured, cut and painted them all by him self, usually he just hangs back and watches my brothers and I fabricate the parts and for being one of the firts thins he has made they turned out awesome. and on a side note the fire bottle has been relocated and is ready to go We did some testing and reached the SRT's top speed at pocono raceway. ( real racers do not reveal their speed secrets ) picked up some hotchkis sway bars the custom intake and duct and we picked up a new Hauler here is the on board lift and we had to re-do the mounting for the fuel cell, so this is what it looks like now. The suspension came in. It is a Mopar Stage 3 kit that has been gutted and revalved with much more aggressive koni inserts, also it was converted to a two-way adjustable. the reason we went this rout is because there are really no good suspensions (in our price range) for the SRT for a road race aplication. So instead of having a 100% costom shock built we bought the Stage 3 suspension to basically just use the casings so we know it will bold up. the springs havent come in yet but expect pics soon. Just got the car back from Nate Dog Creations, and let me say this guy does very very nice work. I Highly recomend him the fuel cell is finally finished, and so is the steering wheel suspension pics

i would only run upto 20 psi max the 1st stage has to be at like 15 psi since it will be running off the wastegate, cant go any lower.

You guys need an AIM Sports dash. It'll make that thing a lot cooler.
And are you guys planning on running any NASA stuff next year? It looks like we might be out there at the same time because they merged a lot of the smaller spec classes into Performance Touring.

ha yea a AIM dash would be nice, but were on a budget and this is unecessary. and as for the NASA question, im not sure but we usually do a bunch of events in-between the PRL races.

Yeah it may be a little unnecessary, but if you buy more than like 3 gauges that aren't Autometer, you're spending as much as you would on an AIM sports.
And besides, the budget is supposed to have a line for super cool stuff that makes race chicks drop their panties.
