VW guys....need a little help.

So my young friend who is ready to buy a car is in love w/ the corrado. We found one for sale at around 4800. Problem is that a day after it was put in the papers....someone broke into it and stole the ECM outa it. Now when i talked to the guy i assumed by ECM he meant ECU....its the same thing right?

Anyways, its a 1993 VW corrado and it needs an ECM....if any of you know where one can be attained and installed cheap this seller is interested.

ok, the guy most likely meant an ECU. if you check in the classifides on www.vwvortex.com you could ask around or find one. is the engine an OBD1 or 2? i am thinking it might be a 1, so they arn't that to hard to find. and for $4800, that corrado better be in really good condition.

check the 'tex. 1993 is OBDI.

also, try L&T Enterprizes in Allentown, PA (that's where I got my brake upgrade)

Sucks that it's not a G60. I happen to have a LOT of spare parts including an ECU for a 89-92 G60 Corrado. If he needs help with anything, let me know...I know quite a bit about the car.

It's not really that heavy. The stock G60 one is about 22#. My TDI dual mass flywheel is about 22#

a new 14# from www.germanautoparts.com is something around $250 plus shipping on bolts
