Computer tech gurus. i7 opinions needed
My question is between the i7-820qm and the i7-620m processors which one would be better for this? They are too new for such a specific review so I can't read enough info to decide. A few places say the 620 is faster but whats throwing me off is its on-board video card. The brands i'm looking at are dell xps 16 and sony f series. info comparing the two from intel: http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=43560,43124, Probably a long-shot but any opinions on the matter are much appreciated.

The QM will be faster since 99% of graphic\video applications support multi threaded rendering. That being said.. if you're only doing photo editing don't justify the extra cash...

820. You shouldnt worry about the integrated graphics, seeing as you better have a discreet chip in it.

Thanks on the avatar and your answers guys.
One other thing that I'm bringing into consideration is that the 620 runs at 2.33 ghz without "turbo" and the 820 at 1.77, now while on battery these things don't go any faster from my understanding. Is this right because I don't think I'll get too much done on the go at 1.77?

turbo mode is basicially a factory overclock that it runs at under load. not sure about the battery/being plugged in thing tho. The i7's do use a lot of energy, so I would problaly say eno is right, around 2 to 3 hrs while doing stuff.
The 820 will be faster at rendering/video editing/encodeing/anything else that needs multiple cores. The 620 might have a slight edge when it comes to general tasks because of the higher clock.
