Mean? Taking away freedom is unforgivable. If I don't buy into an insurance plan, I get a hefty fine and jail time? Anyone that supports this nonsense should be hanged.

Taking away your freedom, you mean like wire tapping your phones. What i want to know is where were you guys at when Bush was taking away your (our) freedoms, getting us in to unnessacery wars, ignoring the U.N, making us look like fools in the eyes of the world, deeming that God him self wanted him in office and saying that we won the war on terror?

On the other hand, if you were so pissed at all of the points you just brought up, why aren't you flying off the handle now also? It all equates to one thing...big gov't controlling us. If you don't see it that way, you are blind or just plain stupid.

Big gov, been controlling us man where you been at? Oh i guess work. Plenty off people went to work yet kept up with current events. Look at all the people who took off for the bring back the troop rallies or those who wanted to boycott the war. As far as outrage i am not the one joking at hanging or shooting people, espically those who hold some of the highest offices in this country. As far as these corporations that run health care...well it looks like they failed as a whole and so now someone has to do something about it, same with Americas car industries and finacial institutions. They have failed us right now, so should we keep doing the same thing over and over even if it fails?

1. President Obama said that “this was the worst economy since the great depression.” FALSE! It was the worst economy since the Jimmy Carter era. 2. President Obama also said that “you can keep your insurance & the gov't will stay out of it.” FALSE! The bill says that the Gov't will determine whether or not your current health insurance is acceptable for you, even if your happy with it they may take it away. Also there will be taxes on certain insurance policies as stated in the bill. 3. It Requires that all Americans purchase health insurance. If you choose NOT to have any Health Insurance you will be forced on to the Gov't plan, or pay a yearly fine of up to $3800 per year for failing to get "government-approved coverage". If that fine is not payed, the IRS will fine you $25,000 & one year in Prison for not acquiring HC. 4. We don't want the Gov't taking control over 1/6 of our economy 5. No Privacy! They will collect detailed health insurance information on Americans, reducing patient privacy and adding significant administrative costs to employers and insurers. This should be between you & your Dr, NOT Washington 6. Middle Class Tax Hike - The Baucus bill would impose a new sales tax on drugs and medical devices and a new federal excise tax on insurance plans that exceed $8,000 for an individual and $21,000 for a family. These taxes will ultimately be passed down to the consumer, putting many middle class families on the receiving end of a tax hike

Were they correct? I don't think we really know at this point. If Iran goes nuclear and puts us into another "Cold War" scenario, I bet many of us will be very happy we have a load of troops on the ground and battle ready. Again, I'm rambling... Back on topic - with the democratic presidency and majority in both the House and Senate, couldn't we make it our number one focus to undo the wrongs of previous administrations? Instead, we have new "crises" with the economy and healthcare, and an administration that is using that as an excuse to push through legislation that would drastically affect our economy and the delivery of healthcare in America as we know it. Further, these decisions are being pushed very hard and in a small window of time without any credible measurements by which this is positive. I don't understand how you can chastise one for pushing through crappy legislation under the premise of panic and use it as an excuse for a new administration to push through crappy legislation for new "crises." Two wrongs do not make a right.

I don't have the luxury of taking off work. I am a self employed one man show. I don't want or need help from anyone, especially gov't. The corps. that run healthcare didn't fail anyone if people are still paying them. You just like to blame everyone but yourself for your poor judgment.

Socialism is when the "government" dictates your every move...it is only a STEP away from: COMMUNISM!!! Do NOT be afraid and/or feel GUILTY in changing your mind/party! Just do it!!! I want to believe that mankind is intelligent enough to make our OWN decisions, and NOT be told what to do!!! We are human beings, at least most of us are, and I tend to believe that we can make up our OWN MINDS!!! Why would ANYONE in their "right mind" WANT to be DICTATED to??? WHY???
Stop being a "mooch" on society and take care of yourself!!! Is this humanly possible??? I pray it IS!!! Yeah...PRAY!!! |

I have the new 1,502 page Senate Healthcare bill. It just gets more and more streamlined, doesn't it??
If you want it, please send me a message with your email address and I'll send the attachment. The massive, 1,500 page bill is expected to serve as the backbone for Democratic reform efforts going forward and five senators expressed concerns about one of its main provisions, a 40 percent tax on high-end insurance plans.
