Please then grace us with your knowledge of what you feel is a good wheat beer (same as BlueMoon ouch).

That would be my nice way of saying don't just put down what others enjoy, add to the conversation by saying what a good alternative would be.

similar style beers include:
ommegang witte
victory whirlwind
allagash white
dfh red and white
bells winter white
unibroue blanche de chamblay

and you should be able to find most of those if you live in the phila. area, as i have.

I go to a beer distributor on 222 going towards Kutztown and he carries the Ommegang beers.

No I haven't actually, I went looking for it once before but I couldn't really find any place that carried it around me.

I had what I thought was called Jack's Bourbon Ale a couple weeks ago... it was pretty tasty. I can't find it online though... hmm.

You want hard to find (around here) then that would be Sunshine wheat and Fat Tire amber ale, both of New Belgium Brewing... drank them up when I was in school in CO but unfortunately they're not to be found around here.

Anyone ever try Shocktop? I had it a bar two weeks ago, I ususally dont really liek wheat beers besides for an occasional blue moon. I must say it was tasty, it was only $5.50 a pitcher since it was happy hour and its a domestic too . Its like $30 a case at the distributor though
