Anyone with good wiring diagnostic capabilities?

Ive got problems with my 05 wrx. Electrical problems...

steming from when my friend (ex friend) owed me a favor, I trusted him, he said he did his own and it wasnt hard... Long story short, the OBD2 connector
got ripped off the individual pins and many wires touched....

Now, im having more issues. On the way home the other day the temp gauge pegged it's self above the H So immediately I pulled over thinking it was overheating... but funny thing is the check engine light shut off when this happened.

my biggest concern is that theres many wires on the back of the obd connector
that are the same color and pattern.

Im willing to pay for someone who KNOWS what they're doing look at this mess.

anyone brave and confident enough?
