Help me find a RALLYCROSS venue in tri-state! - TriStateTuners.com :: Home of Tristate Auto Enthusiast

In order for the Philly region's rallycross program to develop I need to find a site or two willing and suitable to host a rallycross. I have only lived here a short while so I need your help to find good sites.
The criteria are:
-Must be a large open area free of obstructions (curbs, lightpoles ect.)
-Surface should be level with dirt, gravel or grassy and free of large rocks
-Must be within 1.5-2 hours driving time from Philly- south Jersey; north Delaware, Reading, Allentown.....
-The bigger the better- at least 10 acres would be good with a seperate paddock area.

SCCA has it's own event liability and damage insurance, so a potential site owner should not worry.

i attended a rally-x last year which was on a dirt oval and used the infield as well, just wondering if they're using that again this year and you want to add another location, or if that one isn't going to be used again?

ah grandview!
I have been trying (with little success) to get a few more events at that location. Unfortunately the track owner was sick for awhile and things are highly disorganized with them. I would like to find a bigger site as well as grandview has it's limitation for course design and giggle factor.

^^^don't you live somewhere out there? if you had 2 seconds maybe you could swing by and check out the parking lots or snap some pictures for me?

Yeah, I have an apartment in reading but I am sleeping elsewhere right now. I will be up there this weekend and I am pretty sure I would be able to stop by and snap some photos. Are you interested in the parking lot as an autox event or the actual stadium inside for rallx? I'll do my best to remember.

someone told me the parking lots there are big and grassy. I haven't been able to get up that way yet and if you could swing by that would be a huge help.
Just try to see what the surface is like, how big it is, and if there are any obstructions. If you think it would be cool I can contact the owner/manager and set up a meeting to present the package to them.

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to stop by there this weekend. I'll be up there next weekend for sure again. My schedule went to hell on saturday and I didn't have time.

i think they might be putting up a rally course at the new track venue in Millville i knwo they have one down at VIR.
