I agree. When I was looking into buying one before I got the Z I did a lot of research, and you can definitely do some better stuff before an intake. But if you get one and need help with the install Im in delco too, let me know.

before you waste 300+ on an intake, spend the 600 on an apr stage 1 upgrade. If you look around apr usually has sales throughout the year where you can get all 4 tuning options for the price of just one.

Intake will net you maybe 5hp and no noticeable difference in driving except you may hear your turbo a bit more.

APR Stage 1 with the 93 octane tune net somewhere in the neighborhood of 40hp and 80 ft/lbs over stock and it is very noticeable I have it in my CC.

forgot to mention, with the stage 1 your will hear your turbo more as well because to make the power it increases your boost to like 20psi from 11psi. If you want the intake for sound you could eliminate your airbox and filter for a cone filter and it will increase your ability to hear the turbo and its cheap.

you can't run a bov valve that vents to atmosphere on the newer vw's....if you want a blow off sound then you can run the forge diverter valve spacer but its not the same type of sound.

On second thought if you like having a warranty, especially on a VW, keep it stock.

very true, but most people don't recirculate them, and It would be more work than its really worth to install on your car. VW likes to use silicone and plastic instead of hard piping leading up to and from the turbo.

I HATE that blow off valve. Every time you let off it sounds like a bird is dying under the hood.
