sti's have an aluminum block....and there are guys pushing up to 500whp on it.

Don't get so tied up on HP. Torque is what kills motors. You can be on a big turbo and "safely" (I don't even want to use that word) be over 400WHP with under 400WTQ. Have a small FP Green with huge torque numbers and your motor can blow up.

imo if you like the rx8 and dont mind it in the snow id say keep the rx8 if you want the awd goodness in the bad weather the evo and sti are both good cars and you can make big power if thats what your looking for but im sure either of them are fun to drive and if you plan on making massive amounts of power your gonna end up shellin out probably around the same amount on each. but i wouldnt go nd get another rx8 if youve got no problems with the one you have now.

but what i would do is get an old honda to dd and buy a clean 240 rolling shell or super clean stock one and build it with the left over money..... thats just me though
