nia - for gaming?
OCZ’s Neural Impulse Actuator (nia) marks a new era in gaming. Rather than being a substitute for a mouse, the nia is a pioneering new peripheral to be used in conjunction with your mouse for a more immersive gaming experience. The nia is compatible with any PC game using keyboard input… past, present, or future. Predefined profiles included with the software allow the gamer to develop their own nia—memory to launch the desired behavior of their character and shoot with the “blink of an eye”, without lifting a finger. I'm wondering how well it works and if there would be a way to customize the control for other applications other than gaming. in anycase i thought it was pretty crazy. I sure hope this isn't really dated technology that everyone has already heard of also i'm not that huge into gaming, but is something like this even useful for gaming? i just have a hard time picturing it in a gaming scenario.

interesting at least. sounds like it would work.
you figure they've been testing that "ball up, ball down" neural thing for a while. when you get down to it, a key press is an off/on function and should be simply mapped. |

thats what i was thinking, you technically should be able to map certain neural impulses to keystrokes. I'm just thinking that this could be pretty sweet for acad or something that is command based.
