Spring Rate

I am about to buy some used springs for my car. Is there a way to determine the spring rates?

There should be stickers on them with a part number you can look up.

Might be something stamped in them. If not then you will have to ask the current owner what kit it is. Im not sure how to find out past that.

Why would you buy them if you have no idea what you're looking at? It's no like new springs are that expensive.

I feel like you should be getting them for free if there is no info about them. It could lead to a very dangerous situation
