NJ DMV-Anyone know a shop that won't check for the 3rd cat? (DMV FAIL!)

Inspection time in NJ and time to get the catless WRX inspected. Anyone know of an inspection shop that will turn a blind eye on the 3rd cat visual inspection? If so, please PM me.

i think it's been years since NJ has done anything but a sniffer test.
go to state testing facility.
get out of car.
wait 2 minutes.
get back in car.
drive away.

Get an empty cat shell. I know they used to sell them on eBay.

I probably would need any empty cat shell from F350 to cover that QTP exhaust cutout...lol

I tried that two years ago. They stuck the mirror under my car, saw my QTP exhaust cutout and lack of 3rd cat and failed me.

96+ cars all they do is a check engine scan, 95 and under cars they check for cat converter and do the sniffer. i only had 1 cat on my old rx7 and they didnt say anything about where my other 2 cats are.

It really depends on the workers, and how they feel that day. Try to go on a busier day, you'll wait a little longer in line, but in trying to just move everyone in and out quickly, they may not notice it's missing. I took my old GP GTP to the Eatontown (rt. 36W) inspection station and I saw it on the camera under the car, but they didn't even notice there wasn't a cat. and I was running headers -> cat-less downpipe -> stock cat-back, lol.
