trans shop

about a year ago i had my clutch done which is still great, but lately my car has been losing trans fluid...actually gear oil...i am confident that it is a seal that has taken a **** on me, but does anyone know a place that can fix this quickly...i need my car for work so it can't be down for long...i live just outside of west chester...so try to keep it somewhat local...i don't feel like driving an hour to pick my car up from the shop....thanks fellas

If it's something that simple, a Lee Myles shop should be able to take care of it.

I honestly don't think that manual transmissions have internals seals, just check where the axles go into the transmission, if you see fluid there, you need axle seals, if that's the case, buy the seals, buy a 6-pack, a pizza and we'll do in it the driveway

The axle seals are cake if you take the tranny out, but a majority of time you can replace the seals with the tranny in the car...just take a screw driver and pop them out. Then grab a socket thats the size of the seal and tap it in with the socket and hammer.

Exactly how he said. I changed a leaking seal just like that. Trans was in the car. I put a thin layer of rtv on the out edge to help seal some more. Not worth paying someone if you have done a turbo swap you got this

bill screw using a screwdriver and socket, I get a seal puller and a seal installer at work so if you ever need to borrow it, PM me, i'd personally use a seal install b/c I've seen people screw **** up by installing a seal with a socket
