RockNRace's Nissan NX2000 SOLD

so i picked this NX up for 1500$ with alot of ricey stickers and only 100xxx miles, why an nx you ask? because its a car you dont see every day, i couldnt afford an sti and i didnt want just another 240sx project, plus these cars are extremely well balanced for exellent handling, my plans are to have this thing looking clean and sexy with a hp goal of about 230-250 and a suspension that hugs the road with most likely a JDM blue bird engine swap

so heres some pics of the day i bought it

Right... generally... cars with a suspension that if soft enough to take potholes with ease dont handle the best.... Its one or the other... do you want stiff precision handling or the ability to go over potholes well.

They were cools cars in the early 90's. Handling is a no thought, the car is front heavy, and in at 2300-2500 lbs. The AWD swaps are cool though.

Is that all filler, or is there a metal patch in there?

no theres a metal patch there, im actually a body man part time, i know better then making a body line with filler, i just get caught up in the work work work mode and forget to snap pictures, ive got some from this weekend, hood stripped and primer, hatch and drivers qp, but there was some kind of adhesion problem on the qp so that will get redone tomarrow.... ill post the pic in a little while and yes, it will be clean

oh haha and sorry, i just noticed what you meant, i think thats just some glitching in my photo software, its funny how that came out..... but thats my older brothers car, and hes too busy thinking his bmw is making the world go round to touch anything but the steeringwheel, let alone putting some ricer vinyls on

hood off and vinyl stripped

hood back on in primer

this is where i think i may have had my adhesion problem,a few weeks ago after fixing the drivers side qp that i decided to just get some rustoleum auto paint that was close enough and worry about it later, boy was i wrong, that stuff screwed my primer hard core, so now it all needs to sanded down to factory base...

how the previous owner got a dent in the roof i will never know...

some pics of the body work, and scuffed hatch/ rear valance, and yes i know the vinyls need to go... i can only do this thing one panel at a time...
onto primer

parting of the red sea.....

since i figured it had to be that rustoleum i avoided the hatch too, if you look in the first primer picture you can see where it stops on the c pillar where i blended factory and crapoleum....

thanks to the morning call for masking

thats it for now, hoping to re do the qp and hatch tomarrow

well after tons of busy hours at my job/school i have finally made some progress, the car sits in primer minus the front and rear bumpers and the t top sections, body work is almost mint, few wavy spots but ill block that out in a bit, fixed the super rot on the a-pilar / jams, car is looking real good, ill post pics later for all of you guys out there that think im a hacker for whatever reason
