Evo owners....JUN BL EXHAUST SALE!!!!

Hey guys,

JUN BL contacted me a while back to become a dealer for their exhaust systems and I have to say for the dollar the value you get in this exhaust is by far the highest I've seen.

My evo web store is www.evo8engineering.com which will be FULLY operational in the next week or so with pricing. Check it out!

Jun BL exhaust systems:

New for 2006, Jun B.L North America introduces this new cat-back performance exhaust system for the Evolution VIII and Evolution IX. There is no question that there are many high quality exhaust systems available for the outstanding Mitsubishi Evolution. This fact alone normally results in a tough decision for consumers looking to make the best purchase in regard to the exhaust system they choose for their vehicle.

When it comes to a turbocharged vehicle, the exhaust system is generally regarded as the best initial performance upgrade to be made. Upgrading to a well-engineered performance exhaust system will serve to compliment any future performance upgrade in regard to increased horsepower production. This will yield the best overall value as you pursue increased performance from your vehicle.

When considering any performance upgrade component, price is often one of the most important factors to the consumer. Admittedly, having the lowest available price is certainly a powerful selling tool. However, it is important to remember that you generally get what you pay for. At Jun B.L, we are committed to maintaining our exceptional quality standards while offering the best prices for the products we design and manufacture, therefore providing the best overall value to the consumer. It is important to note that, while we could use substandard materials in portions of our systems to reduce costs, this is not an acceptable option. While the best price is not always the lowest, our pricing reflects our commitment to quality and longevity while still providing exceptional value for the products we distribute to our customers. In regard to longevity, it is also important to quantify the value in purchasing one quality component in contrast to purchasing a substandard component two or three times. It is certainly more cost effective in the long run.

It is our goal with this system to achieve balance between performance, quality, workmanship, and price. In pursuit of this goal we are proud to offer this new product that raises the standard of the performance exhaust system to a new level.

If you are looking to produce more power from a turbocharged application, it is vastly important to look at the exhaust system as your "foundation" modification. It is this modification that you will build upon in order to achieve your performance goals. When seeking more power from a turbocharged vehicle, increasing the engine's available boost pressure is the easiest way to produce more torque and horsepower. The factory exhaust is designed to meet many compromises between materials, cost of production, and noise suppression. These compromises often limit the factory exhaust system to a limited power level, adequate for the general consumer yet inadequate for the performance enthusiast. In addition, attempting to raise the vehicle's boost pressure beyond factory set levels can often stress other components since the factory exhaust system cannot meet the demands placed on it.

Typically our performance exhaust system for the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII and IX will yield anywhere from a 5 to 20awhp gain depending on the chassis dynamometer used. Once the boost level and tuning has been modified, however, the performance gains will become substantial.

We also invite inquiries regarding our ECU Flash upgrade as well as other products from Jun B.L and our recommended tuning partners for the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII and IX that will compliment our exhaust products.

One common characteristic of today's typical exhaust system is the utilization of stainless steel in the system for corrosion resistance. Our system is no exception. This system utilizes full 304 stainless steel throughout its entire construction. We do not substitute lower grades of stainless steel within the product (as some companies do) for cost savings, nor do we substitute any other materials (such as rust and corrosion susceptible mild steel) for flanges, hangers, etc. This prevents the future corrosion issues found with some other systems. How aggravating it can be to purchase a "stainless steel exhaust system", only to find within a year or two that the hangers and or flanges rust apart and possibly tear away rendering your investment useless.

Looking at any performance exhaust system, it is important to analyze how the system is manufactured. TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding is used throughout the assembly process of our exhaust systems. This aerospace derived method of welding produces superior quality welds with the by-product of being the most aesthetically appealing. Instead of a system that looks as though it was production-welded in haste, you will find that our systems are works of art in craftsmanship and assembly. This is a direct result of the talents of the master craftsmen that work in our factory. Each system is primarily hand built by these craftsmen, whose hearts and souls are fused into these systems with the utmost pride and precision.

The primary goal of any performance exhaust system is quite simply that, performance. To this end, most every aspect of our exhaust system is conceived and produced with this in mind. In order to maintain consistency of design and fitment, each system is fully CNC mandrel bent. This process maintains the tubing's diameter throughout each bend and offers the least amount of flow loss, hence an increase in performance potential. In addition, any flanges used in our systems are designed to precisely mate to their adjoining counterparts. Whether CNC laser cut, or CNC milled, any component within our system is designed to fit precisely and accurately to prevent any misalignments, which might produce a flow restriction or possible system leak.

The quality of materials used in the construction of your performance exhaust system is very important to its longevity. Not only do we use high quality materials where they can be observed visibly, we also take a great deal of pride in the materials, which cannot be seen by the naked eye. For instance, the packing materials we use inside all of our high performance mufflers for sound dampening is superior to the cheaper solutions employed by many "cheaper" mufflers. These materials may cost more up front, but the result is a muffler that will last for years without its quality of sound being diminished.

Although used primarily on racing or aircraft applications, v-band clamps are a proven and highly effective method of joining one exhaust tube to another. This coupling results in a leak-free positive connection that allows the fitting to be taken apart and reassembled multiple times without the need to replace gaskets, clamps or fasteners. On a modified performance vehicle that is often serviced, this can be a huge time saver. This feature is also very attractive to those who race their vehicles at tracks yet drive their cars frequently as well. Since our system is designed with v-band connections and a special reducer at the catalytic converter, it is possible to swap in our optional off-road pipe at the race course while letting you swap the catalyst back in for the drive home while maintaining emissions compliance.

To make this exchange even easier and more time efficient, you can also upgrade to our full 3" high performance downpipe and optional high flow metallic substrate converter. Each of these components is a full 3" diameter, eliminating the need for the reducer in the system. This maintains the full diameter in the system from the turbocharger to the exhaust tip, offering the best flow potential possible. Due to the fact that the upgraded downpipe and upgraded converter all use our v-band connection in their construction, these components can be disassembled and reassembled very easily and efficiently making for a true "racer-friendly" product.

Not all v-band connections are created equal. In order to achieve the strength, consistency of fitment, and the elimination of any flow interference at the connection, we have chosen to CNC mill our v-band flanges. Although this results in a more expensive flange in contrast to the more readily available "stamped" flanges, we feel that our solution is the most appropriate for the application. We have also machined the flanges to except the tubes to which they adjoin for increased strength as well as eliminating any flow interference once the tubing is attached to the flange.

In addition to using a quality flange, we have also incorporated a high quality stainless steel v-band clamp with a quick release feature that aids in the assembly of the system and keeps the installation as efficient as possible.

Often overlooked by those purchasing a performance exhaust system for their vehicle is the actual level of quality in the design and manufacture of the muffler used in the system. This is very important, as the muffler design will dictate the ultimate performance of the system as well as its quality of sound, which is most important to many enthusiasts. Although many mufflers look the same externally, they can actually be quite different. For example, a muffler made with inferior materials will start to deteriorate under extreme use. Some mufflers are produced with a stamped seam, which can separate over time due to internal stresses from rev limiters, launch control, anti-lag, etc. We avoid this method of construction in our mufflers designed for turbocharged vehicles in order to avoid reliability issues and to provide the customer with a product that will last. As stated earlier, the noise dampening materials used in the construction of the muffler are also vastly important. Here again, inferior materials will result in a product that will perform as purchased only a short period of time. As the inferior materials deteriorate, so will the sound quality produced by the muffler.

Some say a picture is worth a thousand words. As the accompanying photo shows, the quality of materials, craftsmanship and appearance of the mufflers we produce are second-to-none.

he muffler used in our system for the Mitsubishi Evolution VIII and IX is no exception. Utilizing a straight-through design and a specially perforated center section, this muffler has been designed to maximize the performance of a turbocharged application while also producing a superior quality of sound, which will most certainly appeal to the performance enthusiast. This system has been designed to achieve a superior performance level while reducing the tendency to "drone" as some systems do at steady-state conditions.

Minimizing flow restrictions in a performance exhaust system for a turbocharged application is most directly achieved by eliminating as many bends as possible from the system. In order to minimize the bends in our system, we have employed a "JDM" style exit at the rear of the vehicle. This enables us to eliminate one or more restrictive bends at the end of the system while allowing us to place the tip angle in such a way as to make a significant performance statement about the vehicles equipped with our systems.

In order to make installation as easy as possible, this system has been designed to utilize the factory hangers and requires no additional hanger hardware to be mounted to the vehicle as with some other market offerings.

Each and every system comes completely polished, well packaged and ready for installation.

We are confident that JUN BL systems are designed and manufactured to the highest standards and as such we provide each system with a 10 year limited warranty against manufacturer defects in workmanship and materials. **

We are committed to providing enthusiasts with the highest race-quality components while maintaining the balance between performance, quality, workmanship, and price. In addition, we desire to set a new standard for the industry for these qualities as well as customer service and product availability.
