This is a delayed thread, but just some pictures of my detail of Matt's (Poorman'sR) new rex. The pics arent amazing due to the amount of time i took and the gradual loss of daylight.

I just did a basic buff/polish/wax to the car. At another date im sure i will go into paint correction and all the fun stuff. I just wanted to get it a good protective cover for the time being.

Used Crystal4 (combination of Seal B and polish) to buff the whole car, then sealed it with Ardex Flint Glaze paste wax.

Start, we forgot to take pics before i rinsed the car.

v Painters tape before buffing/waxing v

v My sick tape skillz v

v Post Buff/wax (it was getting dark, sorry for the poor lighting)

I'll bet it looks fantastic in person but the pics just don't portray anything more then a clean car.
This is something I really have to have done on my own car.

you're right, due to the different lighting i wasn't able to get good pics. It looks better in person though.

jon, the process was just a basic wash with all purpose to strip the paint of any previous wax/dirt/ish, then hand applied crystal4 onto the car, then machine buffed it in.

Crystal4 is a swirl mark remover/extremely fine compound and polish all in one. It eliminates a whole extra step making it only a two step process.

Then the paste wax was applied and wiped off both by hand. that was it, nothing crazy.

no, the all purpose wash we use is essentially a liquid claybar. Like i said, i didnt go crazy on this one (besides the painters tape haha) when i go all out on it another time, i will be getting into the paint and what not.

There is no such thing as a liquid clay bar. You either have a good bar of clay or liquid crap

i know theres no such thing as a liquid clay bar, but i was trying to generalize the wash. GOSH WHEN WILL PEOPLE UNDERSTAND!!!!
