No you need to have a wireless router in your setup for that to work. Best bet is run a additional ethernet cable and unhook your computer when your not using it.

Dont they make 2-1 splitters for ethernet cables?

They must since they do them for phone lines. You hook up the splitter into the jack and you can run 2 cables out instead of just one. Go to radio shack and ask they should have what you need for like 5 bucks.

For your high speed internet, do you have a 4 port modem/router?

Cheapest solution if you dont is get a long enough run of cable (Cat5e), and a cheap 4 port router. Router attachs to the high speed modem (whomever that is through), and then both the computer and 360 plug into the router.

Got any more questions, just ask.

Depending on your modem, I've seen that work before.

The other port you are talking about is the USB port. You aren't going be able to have your computer and 360 hooked up at the same time because the cable modem only supplies 1 IP address, and you are trying to plug in 2 devices, that each need a seperate IP address. You need to get a router as already mentioned.

Modem connects to router, then from router to computer and router to 360.
