i would def contact the company and have them pay for that damage what kind of coils? K-sports? there should be a warrenty on them

Good lord, that would scare the crap outta me. Think they will pay for the CF lip? I would imagine that was pricey.

seen it a bunch of times with subarus. I cannot recall which brand it was but the rear coilover would break at the flange during high g turns (usually on the track).

I've seen Ksports do this before, but not at random like your coilover seems to have done.
It took a high-force impact to do this on a tC in the same manner, one that was strong enough to crack a wheel. When I get the money, I'll be switching to a proper suspension setup consisting of Koni Yellows and Eibach springs. I've had enough of the issues that surround cheap coilover setups.

Did the threaded piece break in the base or was it just not threaded far enough in and strip out? It's hard to tell from the pics.
